Denise and Kellen wanted to be sure to include their fur babies at their engagement session but knew they might be a little extra, so we decided to have their session in a fully gated dog park that it right next to a lake in Blue Springs.

HOW DID YOU MEET?

Kellen and I met at a party in college. We flirted over a game of beer pong – which I beat him at by the way. Later that night his friends talked him into sending me a message on facebook and here we are.

THE PROPOSAL STORY

Kellen asked me to marry him on a golf course in his hometown. Golf has always been a huge part of his life and this golf course was no different, which makes it more special. The two of us and his parents went out to play a couple holes after his brothers graduation party. Little did I know he had the day all planned out and proposed on our last hole. He asked my parents to come to town to join in the celebration as well.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT EACH OTHER?

I love the way he can always make me laugh, even when I don’t want to. He loves that I hold him accountable for things and help him to be a better version of himself.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE THINGS TO DO TOGETHER?

Play golf and drink beer with our friends. We love to be outdoors or watch sporting events.

WHAT MAKES YOU TWO A UNIQUE COUPLE?

We basically even each other out. I push him to try different things and he calms me down when I am spinning out of control.
