Our story begins at a high school job where the last thing on your mind is finding forever love. Our time at Culver’s bonded us. We learned so much about each other and grew a great friendship. As life went on and we left the teenage years to start adulthood, we moved away and created our own life achievements. We touched base with each other every so often and kept our friendship alive while we made our accomplishments individually.
Moving through the trials of young adulthood, a simple text about being in the same town sparked those fond memories of deep conversation, laughing and spending time together. We quickly grew close once more. There was new light to our friendship, seeing each other in a way we never had thought before.
An almost instant, beautiful relationship and love between a baby and adoring soon to be dad was what sealed our love story on January 20th, 2019. After 3 years of friendship and only 3 months of a blossoming relationship, nothing made more sense than to take our next big step. We were engaged April 20th, 2019 on Easter and our love only grows stronger with each day. When you know, you know. You know? ♥️
We wanted to have family pictures on Easter at his family farm but it was an extremely windy day. I wanted to cancel but Garrett insisted we stuck with our plans to take pictures so we drove up to the spot he chose and his dad took pictures for us. Garrett asked if we could take a few without our daughter and he proposed to me there.
I haven’t had a favorite part. I enjoy planning in general I guess. I’ve really enjoyed making my centerpieces.
