The day was finally here! Although they had to reschedule due to COVID they had made it! Anna and Leasa were getting married! It was probably the hottest day of summer and we were all feeling the heat but that wasn’t going to stop anyone from enjoying such a joyous day! Surrounded by their loved ones the two became one during their short but sweet ceremony outside, at Willows Bend Venue in Carbondale, Kansas.
We met while coaching AGAINST each other. Our 2 schools were in the same conference. We fell in love over time, shenanigans and stubbornness.
We took a trip to San Marcos, TX. Leasa booked us a beautiful room over-looking the river. We went to breakfast at a local diner, visited the pumpkin patch, floated the river and went to The Gristmill for dinner. After dinner and drinks we went on a beautiful walk throughout the wooded area. Leasa asked if we could grab a seat on a bench in woods. She proceeded to share a video that she had made. She had everyone in our family saying one thing or another on video all while her song to me was playing in the background (Leave Her Wild – Tyler Rich). At the end of the video I noticed that her niece as wearing a shirt that said “Will you be a part of our family?” and before Leasa could even ask the question, I turned to her, with tears in my eyes and said yes!
Leasa – colors, design, theme, knowing family is being so supportive, knowing it will be a fun day of celebration
Anna – booking a venue that reminded me of Leasa, family support, being the party of the year, spreadsheets
